XCode simulator won't run most recent code -

i've been writing app , i've released 1 version app store. i've updated since , have been playing on simulator. unfortunately simulator has stopped reacting changes in code. know it's simulators fault because if run app on ipad changes take effect.

i've tried resetting simulator going ios simulator -> reset content , settings, i've tried quitting simulator , xcode.

i have no clue why simulator not working properly. it's blatantly not updating.

1. clean project command+shift+k.
2. quit xcode , clean ~/library/developer/xcode/deriveddata manually. remove of contents.
