google compute engine - Mount persistent disks on instance restart -

i have server has persistent disk mounted safe_format_and_mount. when restarted instance disk did not mounted automatically, see feature looking @ docs. suggested put safe mount command google startup script.

however did not start instance startup script. there way can now? not see there is.

alternatively can try , use safe_format_and_mount in upstart script service needs disk, in case mongodb. have feeling unless create new instance startup script best option.

add meta data compute engine instance key startup-script , value bash script mount drive. that's it. key reserved word , gce execute value bash script.

you can add meta data existing instance.
