i want change url sitemap xml in seo yoast plugin.
from: http://example.com/sitemap_index.xml
to: http://example.com/sitemap-something-unique-aqw65643.xml
i know how change using rewite rule, problem don't know if safe.
is there can explain me bad effect?
using url rewrite rule should not impose negative side-effects. directing traffic 1 url another. there benefits of using rewrites when comes seo pertain page urls. since using wordpress, i'm sure that's not advice you're looking for.
