Excel pie charts from pivot table columns -

i have pivot table database looks this:

         person       person b        person c  task      1                               3   task b                      1               2  task c      2               1.5             1 

the number time spent on task. if it's blank, person didn't work on task.

i make pie chart each person pivot table time spent on each task, not including tasks cell blank. i've tried adding various flavours of pie charts ever creates chart on first column of table. , when that, seems include empty cells in key (though not on pie).

does know this?

generally, pivot chart attempt plot whatever in pivot table (including column titles). think easiest way deal add slicer can select person , have filter data you. alternatively, can filter pivot table on own, slicer quite clean in application.

i don't think possible multiple pie charts inside single chart. use doughnut plot if want see columns plotted @ once. visually, chart horrible interpret though.

here similar data slicer in place person b. note legend cleans since missing keys have been filtered out of pivot table itself.
