osx - Mac Apache Instance Loads "It Work" Page fine, but It Does Not Load Directories or Any Other File -

i must have gone little nuts on last couple of days. i'm pretty familiar apache(moderately seasoned developer under linux , windows environments), mac(company equipment; not mine machine) apache instance not load page other "it works" page. (found @ /library/webserver/documents)

i not show configuration because literally started of following commands: sudo apachectl start/stop/restart (i condensed brevity). created few virtual hosts. added 1 liner host hosts file, easy access. that's it. rest of settings defaults. also, point out 127.0.0.1 not work well. localhost "host" name works. in sharing section under settings, sharing "web server" option not present.(this rather new mac. not yosemite os though).

i use "brew" package manager.

/library/webserver/documents not sound default www root me. putting pages in right folder?

you need check apache conf file tags , should see folder pages stored.
